Those will be turned in to the instructor.
Our lessons this week are two -fold:
1. The Loving Story is the focus in your regular classes, and we will touch on it in Computer Literacy by reading the article at READWORKS.ORG/books/passages - the article is:
Shining Star- This is written for lower grades, so everyone should be able to read the passage with no problems.
2. Understanding how to write to a Congressman.
This will be in conjunction with the upcoming event that we are invited to participate in: the lunch and a conversation with state Sen. Kel Seliger and state Rep. Brooks Landgraf, moderated by Texas Tribune co-founder and CEO Evan Smith.
There is a link, which is on the whiteboard at the front of the class, you must RSVP to attend this lunch.
There is also a link to the example of a letter to a Senator or Representative.
All students will print a copy of the example, and take it home to use to compose a letter. That letter will be written in Word2013. It will be attached to an email to the instructor. DUE- THURSDAY!
If you would like, you can also print out that letter to actually send to your Congress member.
We will utilize the Texas.gov site to find addresses for our State Congress members.
