Employability Skills Framework-- Individuals require many skills to be college and career ready, including academic knowledge, technical expertise, and a set of general, cross-cutting abilities called employability skills.
Employability skills are general skills that are necessary for success in the labor market at all employment levels and in all sectors. These skills have a number of names— soft skills, workforce readiness skills, career readiness skills— but they all speak to the same set of core skills that employers want.
The Employability Skills Framework is a one-stop resource for information and tools to inform the instruction and assessment of employability skills.
Employability Skills in the Classroom -- Designed for multiple audiences, the Lesson Planning Checklist is a customizable tool that can be used for lesson planning and reflecting on the extent to which employability skills are being taught. It allows users to populate checklists with selected skills from the Employability Skills Framework and print teacher or student versions or to download checklists with all skills.
Get Job Skills -- Understanding the skills and credentials needed for different jobs will help you find a job and grow your career. These resources will help you build new skills, plan for a career, look for jobs, and more.
Teaching Soft Skills -- This is a document showing you how soft skills can be taught in the classroom through workplace simulations.
Work Ethics
Bring Your A Game To Work -- is an engaging curriculum and training program that helps participants understand the seven foundational values and behaviors of work ethic. Available in both youth and adult formats, the program uses experiential learning, a peer-to-peer model, and an adaptable approach to maximize effectiveness. Earn a Certificate of Work Ethic Proficiency.

Online Work Ethics -- Several volumes have been written covering the ten work ethics topics that are used to teach the DTAE work ethics program in the classroom. These volumes have included lecture material and activities that can be used by instructors to deliver this curriculum to the student. Many of these activities have been adapted by the online instructor for use with online courses. This adapted and new information has been gathered and developed in this manual for use by the online instructor in delivering the work ethics curriculum to online students.
