Semester 2

We have made it through the first week of Semester 2.  New Students are settling in and Return Students are getting back into their schedules. We are learning!

The computer class is overcrowded again, but we are going to manage to get enough people into 202 as possible to work on Kindles.  If you have a computer, IPad, Kindle or phone you are welcome to use it during classtime, OC provides free Wi-Fi.

Second week will be made up of New Students working in Ready for Work or their DOS, while Returning Students will be online at Readworks.org. They have a wonderful assortment of reading material for students of all ages.

Students will need to create an account, but it is free of charge. Follow the directions to find the specific article that you will read

www.readworks.org/books/passages  scroll down, click on page 2, scroll to "19th Amendment"  and click on the title.

When it asks for you to create an account, please do so. Write down your log in and password so you will be able to access it again for class or just for the fun of reading.

Read the passage.  We will discuss it in class next lesson.

Also, Returning Students will have an assignment for the second portion of the week. A paragraph on: "What is a Sentence".

Our classes are corresponding with the Language and Math classes more this semester. There will even be some Science and Social Studies thrown into the mix, so be ready to expand your mind!

Nearly Spring!
